Steve Reed
Steve Reed was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1945. A graduate of Eastern
Michigan University, an Army Captain in the early seventies, graduate
student at Wayne State and Michigan State, he is currently aspiring for his
Ph.D. at Trinity College. A member of the Dr. Bill Martin Literary Group, Steve has taught
middle school, high school and college courses since 1975. He is currently a
middle school English teacher in Kyrene, AZ
Reed began writing seriously after winning a BBC short story contest in
1996. His first novel, Fraziers Tree, is currently in negotiations with
Baker Trittin for re- printing. The Myth of Summer Moon is a collaboration
with his son, Aaron. The two are currently at work on three other projects.
In addition to Aaron and Annette who live in Half Moon Bay, California, a daughter
Heather and family reside in Chandler, Arizona where Steve also resides with
wife Viki and cat Vanya Lou.
